Friends fans itching to hear how filming is going for the big reunion show will be gutted to hear that coronavirus has forced production to a halt.
Actor Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler Bing, confirmed on Twitter that the highly-anticipated return of the hit show has had to be rescheduled.
Filming for the one-off special was due to start in August and was expected to air with the launch of the HBO Max streaming service in May.
But Perry, who plays the cheeky Chandler, tweeted: “Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March.
“Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!”
Within minutes, thousands of people liked and replied to the tweet.
Filming for the Friends special will take place on the show’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, California.
It will reunite the original cast of Perry and co-stars Jennifer Anniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
The show ran for 10 seasons from 1994 and is still one of the most popular shows on TV.
