Bestselling authors to take part in libraries online book chat
Written by Jane Lythgoe on 23 November 2020
Bestselling authors Ruth Ware and Jane Fallon will take part in a special online book chat being organised by Staffordshire County Council’s Libraries service.
The chat is being hosted by popular author interviewer Sarah Shaffi and will give book-lovers the chance to hear from both authors and ask questions.
Novelist and television producer Jane Fallon, who’s married to Ricky Gervais, has sold over one million books in the UK, with ten books making the Sunday Times top list. International crime and thriller writer, Ruth Ware is an author of bestselling twisty psychological crime thrillers.
The event will be hosted on Staffordshire Libraries’ Facebook Book Chat Group on Tuesday 24 November at 7.30pm. The event is free and will be streamed via Microsoft Teams. Anyone can join the libraries Book Chat Group and sign up for the event. Details on how to join are available on the libraries Facebook page.
Victoria Wilson, Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture at Staffordshire County Council said: “Our libraries book chat group is one of many new online activities we have introduced to help people to stay connected through their love of reading. We’re all really excited about this next event. Getting not just one bestselling author but getting two was a real coup for the team.
“The group now has over 260 members with monthly author events. It’s open to everyone and I’d encourage all book-lovers to join the group.”
The Book Chat Group event is being organised by Staffordshire County Council’s Libraries and Arts service, the Reading Agency, Vintage Press and Penguin Random House.
