Stoke City’s James McClean has been suspended by the club. In a statement, the club says it follows an alleged breach of COVID-19 regulations, namely training in a private gym. The Irishman won’t be available for selection for Saturday’s game at Blackburn Rovers. Meanwhile manager Michael O’Neill says his three new signings are all in line to start tomorrow’s game. Rabbi Mantondo, Rhys Norrington-Davies and Jack Clarke have all joined on loan deals until the end of the season. Nick Powell and James Chester who missed last weekend’s cup game are also set to return.
In case you missed it earlier, Jack Clarke has become Stoke City’s third signing of the January transfer window..
The 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur forward has joined the Potters on loan for the remainder of the season, in the process following Rabbi Matondo and Rhys Norrington-Davies in arriving at the bet365 Stadium this month.
He will train with his new teammates today as Michael O’Neill steps up his preparations for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers.
O’Neill said: “Jack is an exciting young wide player who will bring an added dimension to our resources for the remainder of the season.”
