Hospital Staff Rest Areas Opened Thanks to Community Funding

Staff at Staffordshire’s largest hospital can now access new rest areas thanks to the generosity of the local community and businesses.
Two temporary rest areas have been officially opened at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, to help staff relax and escape the busy demands of clinical life.
Located outside the main atrium and Trent building, they’re kitted out with socially distanced chairs and tables and are partitioned to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Additional facilities at Royal Stoke will open next month, with plans in place to redevelop existing rest areas at County Hospital in Stafford.
