Stoke City chalked up their first win of 2021 with a 1-0 success over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.
Former Owls striker Steven Fletcher scored the winner in the 83rd minute with his seventh goal of the season.
The Potters moved up to ninth in the table, just four points off the play-off places.
Meanwhile after the game, manager Michael O’Neill revealed defender Nathan Collins is likely to miss the rest of the season after he suffered a suspected broken bone in his foot at the weekend.
Stoke City will also be checking on the fitness of Morgan Fox whose an injury doubt ahead of Saturday’s clash with Luton.
The left back was taken off in the first half of Tuesday night’s win over Sheffield Wednesday with a hamstring injury.
Michael O’Neill says it’s the other hamstring, not the one that kept him out for a few weeks from just before Christmas. He doesn’t think it’s as bad but it’s a bit early to assess.
The Potters are boosted by the return of former Luton loaner Rhys Norrington-Davies for the game after he recently served a three match ban.
