Face Mask DNA led to conviction

Police say traces of DNA on a face mask left at the scene led to the conviction of an Alsager man who assaulted a pensioner in his own home.
The incident happened at a house on Station Road just before 6am on November the 10th. The victim suffered injuries to the lower half of his body.
35-year-old Paul McMillan, of Crewe Road, has been jailed for three years after pleading guilty to burglary and assaulting a person and causing them actual bodily harm.
