Gradual lifting of Lockdown restrictions

The leader of Staffordshire County Council has welcomed Government plans to gradually lift lockdown restrictions.
All schools will reopen from March the 8th, but shops, with hairdressers, nail salons and pubs will remain shut until April the 12th.
Alan White says it’s welcome news for families who’ve already sacrificed so much during this pandemic, but understood too the frustration of businesses facing further delays until they can safely reopen.
He says the number of cases continues to fall in the county and that more than 300,000 doses of the vaccine have now been given in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
