New Chief Constable for Cheshire Police

Cheshire police has a new Chief Constable.
Mark Roberts, is currently the deputy chief constable of South Yorkshire Police having previously served with the Cheshire Constabulary as assistant chief constable from 2014-2017.
During his time in Cheshire, he led on a realignment of local policing in the county, creating the eight local police units there is today.
Mark, who takes over from Darren Martland when he retires in the spring, is also the national lead for football policing and covert legislation and guidance.
