Public space Protection Order in Stoke on Trent

A public consultation is underway on the introduction of a Public Space Protection Order in Stoke-on-Trent for the control of dogs under the anti-social behaviour act.
The city council says dog fouling has become one of the most commonly reported issues and is widely considered to be the most offensive waste on the streets and green spaces across the city.
The order proposes dog owners must carry waste bags whenever they’re out walking their dogs and to keep their pet on a lead in some areas
