A misconduct hearing into a former Staffordshire Police officer has determined that she would have been dismissed had she not resigned.
Shara Green, who worked as a response officer based in Hanley, was investigated last year.
The hearing, found the 24-year-old had breached honesty and integrity, duties and responsibilities and discreditable conduct standards by lying about the reason she was off work. Her actions were assessed by the panel and considered to be so serious as to constitute gross misconduct.
Green resigned in October last year.
Deputy Chief Constable, Emma Barnett, said: “The public expect and deserve to have trust and confidence in their police.”
