Crewe Alexanders off pitch initiative to raise funds

Crewe’s Chairman says the aim of the club’s new off-field initiatives is to bring in more revenue to help assist David Artell compete with the player wage demands needed in League One.

Charles Grant says the new initiatives off the pitch are designed to increase our revenue and if we do then we can afford to spend more.

He says we have one of the lowest budgets in League One but we mustn’t forget that we also make a substantial investment in our academy.
