More covid mobile testing sites across east cheshire

After a big hike in Covid cases, largely driven by the Delta variant, Cheshire East Council has brought in several mobile testing units in response to local demand.
Every person living in Crewe over the age of eighteen, are being urged to take a PCR Covid-19 test, even if they aren’t showing symptoms.
The local authority says mobile facilities can be set up in under 20 minutes, allowing the testing of hundreds of people each day.
Hundreds of students have received jabs after a Covid-19 vaccination centre was set up at Staffordshire University.
Health bosses were inundated with people wanting one of the 730 slots.
The pop-up clinic targeted students as young as 18, who were able to get their first dose before the national rollout reaches the under-25s.
