520 people died from Covid-19 last year in Stoke-on-Trent.
The figures were revealed in an annual report on the health and wellbeing of residents and presented to city councillors at a cabinet meeting yesterday.
It also showed more than 13 thousand residents tested positive for Coronavirus.
However, the true number of people infected during the year is likely to be much higher than this, since testing was initially only available in hospitals and not everyone will have come forward for testing.
Covid-19 hotspots and outbreaks have been reported in all wards of the city, with the highest rate of cases being in Lightwood North and Normacot.
