Abuse of health workers handing out test kits

The leader of the city council in Stoke says they won’t tolerate health workers who were handing out home testing kits in the city centre being verbally abused.
They were also showing residents how to use the kits themselves but were forced to finish a session early on Tuesday after being targeted by a small minority of people shouting anti-vaccination messages.
The teams are due to return tomorrow but Abi Brown says they are reviewing the pop-up testing arrangements.
It comes as the latest seven-day rate of cases across the city now stands at 152.5 per 100,000 people, an increase of 81 per cent on the previous seven days.
