Rise in Covid cases in Uttoxeter

There’s been a sharp hike in Covid-19 cases in Uttoxeter.

More than 70 have been reported in the last seven days in the town and Heath wards, with teenagers and young adults being the most affected.

While there is no clear link, many cases across Staffordshire as a whole, have been associated with football fans going out to watch the Euro 2020 matches.

Residents are now being urged to take a free lateral flow test twice weekly, get both doses of the vaccine as soon as they can and continue to follow the rules.
