Crewe’s pre-season preparations hampered by covid

Crewe boss David Artell says their pre-season preparations have been slightly hampered by the need for some of his staff and players to self-isolate due to having slight symptoms of Covid-19.
Assistant boss Kenny Lunt, new signing Shaun MacDonald and forwards Chris Porter and Mika Mandron have all had to self-isolate for 10 days.
Artell says it’s meant that some of the players have had to play more minutes than we would have liked at this stage of the pre-season but it’s credit to them that they are fit enough to do that.
The Alex are back in action tomorrow at home to Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.
