Celebrity Halloween outfits: From Squid Game to #Kravis, here are the best fancy dress costumes in showbiz

Written by on 2 November 2021

Embracing the spirit of things that go bump in the night – and good old fancy dress – celebrities have gone all out with their Halloween outfits this year.

From traditional Addams Family and The Shining to gory new hit Netflix show Squid Game, many stars went to town with their horror costumes.

Others simply celebrated their favourite films and stars, from Pretty Woman and True Romance to The Incredibles. There were also a few Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker lookalikes, in honour of the newly engaged ccouple’s headline-grabbing public declarations of love, plus the usual selection of skeletons, ghosts and witches (sexy and traditional).

As celebrity Halloween costumes have filled social media feeds over the weekend, here’s a few of the best.

Full marks to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen for not only pulling off an excellent Addams Family but also learning the tune, too.

Imagine getting Paul McCartney asking for sweets on your doorstep?

While Hollywood’s new favourite couple channelled their True Romance in Alabama Whitman and Clarence Worley…

… many others – including UK comedian Joel Dommett and his wife Hannah Cooper – chose to dress up as #Kravis themselves.

Obviously the Queen of Christmas was having none of this Halloween lark.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom hailed the coronavirus vaccine, with the singer telling her 139 million followers to “stay safe guys”.

Big mistake. Big. Huge! Or not, as it happens, for Love Island star Maura Higgins, who went full Pretty Woman as Julia Roberts’ Vivian Ward.

Paris Hilton was transformed into a Disney princess, of course.

Comedian Kathryn Ryan made it an Incredibles family affair.

Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and her Heart radio co-presenter Amanda Holden were chilling as The Shining twins.

Lizzo gets top marks for her Baby Yoda.

Presenter Maya Jama hosted her own Halloween party as Medusa.

Here’s Cardi B twinning with her daughter, Kulture, as Halloween’s best-dressed witches.

Harry Styles donned his ruby slippers to become The Wizard Of Oz’s Dorothy for “Harryween” in New York.

Kerry Washington congratulated the Squid Game team, saying she was “transfixed” by the show.

And finally, applause please for Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall and boyfriend Jordan Stephens for serving these incredible Simpsons looks.
