Congleton Town 2 – 0 AFC Liverpool
Congleton’s impressive home form is still intact after yet another win – this time they managed to pick up all three points, seeing off the challenge of AFC Liverpool.
The home side soon settled into the game, taking the lead after just nine minute when a corner taken by Pete Williams was met by Ryan Read, who was on hand for a tap-in.
Congleton found themselves with a numerical advantage when Lee McConchie was deservedly shown a red card for a bad foul on George Shanky.
Liverpool were then temporarily reduced to nine men when one of their players was sent to the sin bin, right on half time.
Congleton secured the points with a second goal with 18 goals remaining Williams was able to grab a second for The Bears.
