Port Vale take on Burton Albion this weekend in what arguably looks like their biggest game of the season so far.

The Valiant’s, who sit 23rd in the League One table make the trip to the Pirelli Stadium to face a Brewers side who occupy 19th position – just six points ahead of Vale having played a game more.

Burton haven’t won a game in six attempts and haven’t won at home in their last four. Vale meanwhile, haven’t won in 14 games, and are still looking for Darren Moore’s first win as Valiant’s manager.

Crewe Alexandra will be looking for their first win on a Saturday this month when they take on AFC Wimbledon at The Mornflake Stadium.

The Alex are still in the hunt for an automatic promotion slot, but face a Wimbledon side who occupy the last playoff place, and have kept the most clean sheets in the division.

Newcastle Town make the trip to Valerie Park to take on Prescott Cables.

Kidsgrove Athletic – fresh off the back of Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Avro are at home again when they play Bootle.

Leek Town – who beat Stoke City on Tuesday night to reach the final of the Staffordshire Senior Cup, are on the road to South Staffordshire to take on Hednesford Town.

Hanley Town, who beat Northwich 1-0 this week make the trip over to Merseyside to take on The City of Liverpool.

Nantwich Town host Mossley at The Weaver Stadium,

And Stafford Rangers, beaten 3-1 by Macclesfield on Tuesday, go to Lancashire to take on Bamber Bridge.

Over to women’s football and Stoke City are away at Burnley,

Port Vale go head to head with Newcastle Town and The Lyme Valley Stadium,

Crewe Alexandra go to Fleetwood Town,

And Leek Town are at home to the league leaders Sporting Khalsa.
