‘People and Place’ – Colouring Competition NUL

Here is a nice one for children who are creative – and not just children -this is something you can do as a family.   This summer, the streets of Newcastle-under-Lyme will be brought to life with colour, creativity and community.  A vibrant flag installation will be transforming High Street, Ironmarket and Castle Walk with local artists of all ages encouraged to submit their artwork to be featured in the display.  Around 70 designs will be transformed into bright and beautiful flags. Submissions are welcome from all age groups, with categories for children up to 9 years old, young people aged 10 – 17, and adults aged 18 and over. One overall winner from each group will be selected by a judging panel to receive a prize, while chosen artworks from those submitted will be exhibited across the town. The theme for the project is “People and Place” and artists are invited to express what Newcastle-under-Lyme means to them.  Entries are now open until Friday 23^rd May.
