The Dougie Mac – Make a Will month – October

Written by on 16 September 2026

Here is what the Dougie Mac have to say ……..

At Dougie Mac, we care for families facing a life-limiting illness

We provide hospice services to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness; also offering supportive care for their families and carers.

We deliver our adult care services at our hospice in Blurton and services for children and young adults at our site in Trentham. In addition, we extend our care into the local community, including visits to patients’ and service users’ own homes.

What is Make a Will Month?

This year our Make a Will Months are taking place throughout May and October.  YOU CAN SIGN UP NOW!!  This is where local solicitors kindly waive their usual fee to draw up a basic Will for supporters who include a gift to Dougie Mac in their Will.

Participation in Make a Will Month is on the understanding that you will include a gift in your Will to Dougie Mac e.g. a percentage of your estate or a monetary gift (suggested minimum £500). Your appointment is for a basic Will only. Your solicitor will advise you if your Will is complex and will let you know of any additional charges.

Will-writing appointments are limited so please register your details on the form below or call the Wills team on 01782 344308 to receive your information pack and voucher.

It’s easier than you think…

-You can write/update your Will at any time with a solicitor or a Will writer of your choice.
-Join one of our Make a Will Month campaigns, where local solicitors generously waive their fees in return for a gift in Will left to Dougie Mac.

Whether you choose a share of your estate, a fixed sum, or a specific item, every gift large or small makes a difference.
