Donate and dedicate a light
We invite the whole community to come together and remember their loved ones, not just those who were cared for by Dougie Mac.
In remembering your loved ones, you’re helping Dougie Mac to care for local people of any age with a life-limiting illness, along with providing support for their families when they need it most.
What’s included in your donation…
-A shining light on our hospice tree for each person you are remembering.
-A card for each loved one you have remembered, bearing their name.
-Inclusion of each name in our Book of Memories available to view online and at our Celebration event.
-One beautiful wooden decoration to hang on your Christmas tree at home.
-Two complimentary tickets to our Celebration of Life at The Victoria Hall on Sunday 14th December.

Taking part couldn’t be simpler; dig out your favourite festive jumper and get together with your colleagues and friends to help raise vital funds for our hospice services.
Whether you donate £1 or £5 – whatever your donation amount – your support really does make a difference in allowing us provide exceptional care for our local community.
Christmas Tree Cycle
Make a donation to Dougie Mac, we’ll collect your Christmas tree from your front door and take it away to be recycled.
No hassle, no waste and no needles in your car!

81 volunteers collected 1,684 trees, raising £31,437 for our services.

We rely on our huge army of volunteers to help make our collection successful. If your business has a large van and willing volunteers who can offer their time to collect trees or can offer event supplies or refreshments for our volunteers; we’d love to hear from you!

Santa Dash is coming to town!
Put on your Santa suit and get ready to run, walk, dance or dash through Hanley Park for Dougie Mac’s Santa Dash! Join our 5k family fun run, or take on the 2k Mini Dash – ideal for little legs or those who would prefer a shorter route.
A free Santa suit is included for participants age 5+ as part of your registration, and there will be festive treats, face painting and seasonal music to keep the fun going for the whole family!
Every step you take helps support local families facing life-limiting illnesses. So lace up your trainers, pop on your Santa suit and join us for the most festive fundraiser of the year!
