Sadly and Suddenly we lost George on 6th November. A great shock and an enormous loss to everyone who knew him and to the world in general. We will miss him so much …. until we meet again.

Give us an interesting fact about yourself: I have worked in radio and TV and commentated on huge matches including El Clasico, Barcelona versus Real Madrid with players such as the legendary Zinedine Zidane and Lionel Messi.
What’s your favourite film? The Godfather
Which famous person would you like to meet? I have a little black book full of people that I am proud to have met – people are amazed at the names in there! But I wouldn’t mind adding the great Pele!
What is on your ‘bucket list’? I want to hit 5,000 games that I’ve reported on or commentated on, that’s my goal. I’m well on the way to it.
What is your favourite song of all time and why? The Intrigues – In a Moment – or any Northern Soul – Keep the faith!
What do you love about Newcastle-under-Lyme? I just associate with this area and consider it my spiritual home.
