New Mayor for Newcastle under Lyme

Borough Councillor Simon White has been elected as the new Mayor of the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme. Cllr White, who lives in Madeley, was chosen at last night’s formal Annual meeting of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and will be taking on the role for the third time. Cllr White previously served as Mayor in 2017/18 and 2019/20. Borough Councillor Barry Panter, who represents the Loggerheads ward, was elected Deputy Mayor.
