Affinity Staffordshire is proud to announce the partnership with Newcastle North Primary Care Network.
On Tuesday 31st of January 2023, Newcastle North Primary Care Network (PCN) will be hosting a healthcare and wellbeing open day to customers at Affinity Staffordshire between 10am – 3pm.
Newcastle North Primary Care Network consists of five local practices: Audley Health Centre, Talke Surgery, Heathcote Street surgery, Chesterton, Dr Harbidge & partners (Kidsgrove Medical Centre) and Mount Road Practice (Kidsgrove Medical Centre) and encompasses the patients registered with these practices.
Appointments for Free health checks will be available on the day, and some people may even be eligible for a free 12-week gym pass or 12-week introduction to Slimming World or Weight Watchers.
Throughout the day, the event also hopes to offer CPR demonstrations, free advice and help with energy bills. The patient groups will be on hand to demonstrate the NHS app this will allow you to order repeat prescriptions and book appointments. Social prescribers and pharmacist with be available to answer questions
To provide visitors with more of an insight about their local support network, the following organisations have also been invited:
Macmillan Cancer, Armed services Veterans, Aspire Housing, Everyone Health, Father Hudson community support group with their guitars, Newcastle District Family Improvement Board, NW first responders. Health Watch, North Staff carers, Royal Voluntary Services, Brighter Futures, The Lions, Staffordshire Voluntary Youth Services and Slimming World.
Event Organiser, Ernest Green, states: “The whole way in which primary healthcare is being delivered has changed. We feel that it is important for people to attend this event as it aims to give patients the opportunity to better understand what organisations are available.”
Sue Sweatmore, Centre Manager, comments: “We’re delighted to support Newcastle North Primary Care Network. We thoroughly understand the importance of events like these and strongly advise customers to come along and see what support networks are available locally.”
Newcastle North Primary Care Network Clinical Director Dr Sutton will also be attending the event during the day. All five practices and patient groups will be in attendance to answer any NONE MEDICAL questions.
