23.03.23 – Man acting suspiciously in Blurton, Man jailed for drug offences

Police are appealing for information after a man was seen acting suspiciously at around 9 o’clock last Saturday night on Tilery Lane in Blurton. It was reported that a man had been seen following a female near to the Hem Heath public house. He is described as white, aged in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a black face mask and a black backpack. The female was left shaken but unharmed.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time of the incident and are appealing for anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously to get in touch.

A man has been jailed for drugs supply offences after he was stopped-and-searched in Newcastle-under-Lyme last March. Gerhard Smith, aged 20, from Wolverhampton, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court last week to 27 months behind bars, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, at an earlier hearing.
