03.05.23 – Staffordshire Day Celebrations, Man Stabbed in Newcastle-under-Lyme,

Written by on 3 May 2023

Thousands of people from across Staffordshire turned out for the county’s eighth Staffordshire Day celebrations on Monday.

A food festival, garden party and breakfast train were amongst the events and activities taking place over the weekend.

This year’s theme was all about sustainability, celebrating the many ways our county is doing its bit to reduce our impact on the environment and make Staffordshire more sustainable. The day is a chance for people to come together to celebrate all that is great about Staffordshire and to show their pride in the county.  Highlights included The Big Green Poetry Competition and The Staffordshire Day Film Festival, and an exclusive recipe for Staffordshire Oatcakes.
