Autumn Steaming of the Potters’ Mill and Railways of Etruria Exhibition at the Etruria Industrial Museum

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October, the museum, mill and tearoom are open from 1100 to 1630 with Shirley’s 1857 Etruscan Bone & Flint Mill in steam and operating as in Victorian times from 1230 to 1630.

There will be an exhibition featuring the Railways of Etruria in the Canal Warehouse and in the adjacent Check Office the showing of a film featuring the Industries and Railways of Etruria. Blacksmith Demonstrations may be seen in the Forge from 1200 to 1600.

Refreshments and toilets are available in the Visitor Centre.

Museum and Mill entry is £7.00 per adult or £10.00 for a guided tour of the mill subject to availability. Under 16 free when with a paying adult.

Visitors can take a walk along the interesting and picturesque Trent and Mersey and Caldon canals and on Sunday from 1000 to 1400 visit the restored Etruria Methodist Wesleyan Chapel built in 1820. It is ten minutes’ walk away and amongst other interesting features visitors can see the beautiful Shirley family memorial windows.
