Emmaus House Clearance Service

Here is something new to tell you about … one of our local charities Emmaus North Staffs who do a lot to help the community – they help people who are in need and by trying to ensure that things that someone else could use don’t go to waste. Which is fantastic.  It is too easy to throw things away in the bin or at the tip – but if we just think whether someone who probably has less than you might be able to use it.  Emmaus do have a charity store, located in the Potteries Centre Shopping Centre, in Hanley and furniture and home emporium, situated nearby in Etruria … so if you are someone who likes to go round the charity shops for a bargain – don’t forget to visit Emmaus.  They have recently launched a great service – and it is a house clearance service.  They will come and collect things they can put straight into their store for other people to benefit from for free.  They will also do a full house clearance, which does attract a charge because there will be things that do need to be disposed of properly.  However, if you find yourself in the position of having to empty a house – maybe a relative has moved into a care environment or even passed away or it maybe that you just want to declutter a garage or something, do bear Emmaus North Staffs in mind as they will do the job and be able to sell items in their charity shop which local people can benefit from, or they can pass your items on to someone who really needs them.  And as we have said time after time … there are unfortunately many people who are in need. Each year Emmaus North Staffs provides assistance to more than 800 local households who are in need of essential furniture and appliances.

The charity’s Beds for Kids campaign has also been providing bed bundles, food parcels and tailored support packages to local families since 2022.
