Serious Assault in Hanley, Closure Order in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Car Alight in Tunstall

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information, following a serious assault in Stoke-on-Trent.  At around 5.45 on the morning of Sunday 4th  February, there was a fight outside the Groove Castle club on Trinity Street in Hanley. A man, in his 20s, was left unconscious.  A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released on conditional bail, whilst enquiries continue.  Officers  are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or those with information.  You can call them on 101, quoting incident 133 of 4 February, or message them using Live Chat on the Staffordshire Police website.

A closure order has been granted for an address in Newcastle-under-Lyme following multiple reports of anti-social behaviour.  On 6 February, Police secured a three-month closure at the address on Willowcroft Way, Harriseahead, as a result of evidence submitted by the local policing team.  This positive action is in response to persistent reports from local residents of drug use and anti-social behaviour linked to the property.  The order will be in place until 6 May and prohibits any person from entering the premises other than the legal tenants, emergency service workers and professionals.  If you have been affected by anti-social behaviour in your area, contact Staffordshire Police through their Live Chat on their website, or call 101.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service extinguished a car fire in Stoke-on-Trent on Friday morning.  A crew went to an address on Holland Street, Tunstall, at just before 6.15 and found a red Toyota Yaris well-alight.  The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injurder, but the fire was deemed to have been caused deliberately and the incident has been left with Staffordshire Police who are reviewing CCTV in the area at the time of the incident.   If you have any information or dashcam footage please call 101, quoting 95 of 9 February.
