Sexual Assault in Thistleberry Parkway, Award for Brampton Museum

Staffordshire Police are investigating a sexual assault in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Officers were called at around 10.30 on Sunday night to Thistleberry Parkway on Keele Road when a woman in her 40s was approached by two men in the area who grabbed her but walked away after she resisted. specially-trained officers have been deployed to support her at this timeThe suspects were wearing dark clothing and one of them looked older than the other.  An investigation has been launched into what happened and Police have set-up a cordon at the scene.  Officers will be speaking to people who live locally and anyone with any information that can help us with their enquiries.  If you have any information that can help, call 101 or message police using Live Chat on the Staffordshire Police Website

Brampton Museum’s all-round excellence has been recognised with a top award.

The Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council-owned museum took first place in the ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ category at the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards.

In addition, the Brampton took two bronzes and a ‘

highly commended’ in three other classes.

As the best of class in Staffordshire, the Brampton Museum will now go forward to the national competition.

The awards, staged at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield, also chose Keele University Events and Conferencing arm as the ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’.
