Staffordshire Police – Two people died in Meir Park, Man Died in Fenton – two arrested

Staffordshire Police are investigating after two people died at the weekend in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were called at 1pm on Saturday afternoon with a report that the bodies of a man and a woman had been found at a house on Catalina Place, Meir Park. The man and woman, aged in their 70s, were both pronounced dead at 2.15pm. Their family are being supported by specialist officers.
An investigation is being carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident. But at this stage, Officers are confident there is no wider threat or risk to the community.

Two people have been arrested following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.
Police were called to King Street, in Fenton, at 3.30 last Friday morning, along with West Midlands Ambulance Service, following reports that a man in his 40s had been found unresponsive inside a property. Sadly he died a short time later.  His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Two men aged 53 and 31, both from the Stoke-on-Trent area, have been arrested on suspicion of administering poison with intent to endanger life.
