Staffordshire Poppies – SFRS

You will remember last year and the year before Kelvin Chell told us all about the poppy pin badges for sale in support of the Royal British Legion.  There have been a few designs over the past few years and this year, there are more to add to the collection – This year you can purchase a spitfire, a kiln, a miners wheel, a Staffordshire knot, and two new ones for this year a teapot and a miners lamp – They are just £3.50 each and there is also a special limited edition of a duck which is £5.  All profits go to the Royal British Legion.  Last year The are lovely little pin badges and they are very good quality and they look lovely on your coat next to your paper poppy, but they have also become collectors items as well.

Last year  £14,429.54 was donated to the Royal British Legion by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue,  and I think it was around £10,000 the year before, which is fantastic … so we have a target to beat!

They are really popular and sell out very quickly, so Kelvin is starting early this year – he was planning to start in September, but people are asking for them already.
