13th and 14th July 2024 – Draycott Summer Fayre

Written by on 11 July 2024

This weekend is going to be action packed and full of fun at the Draycott Summer Fayre – it is a great community event happing over Saturday and Sunday with all proceeds to Blythe Bridge Cricket Club and St. Margarets Church Draycott.  …. Firstly, where is Draycott – it is in the Staffordshire Moorlands and I put the post code in to find the distance from our studio here at Alsagers Bank and it is just 13 miles and will take just over 20 minutes to get there – even less for many of you – so not far at all for a great day out!!

On Saturday, At Blythe Bridge Cricket Club, kicking off with a fun, colour obstacle run at 2.00PM on Saturday then in the evening it is band night showcasing two great artists, with BBQ and Licensed bar available throughout.  The colour run is in partnership with Bee Active who organise some great events.  These colour runs are very popular with the little ones aren’t they – so that’s an action packed day on Saturday.  Then on Sunday They open the gates at 10.00AM to 2 venues, The first venue postcode ST11 9AE with a classic vehicle show including a tractor run, this is the main car park from which they will be operating a limited park & ride service to the main Fayre site, at Blythe Bridge Cricket Club ST11 9RE, which is a short walk (less than 1/2 mile) which only has very limited Blue badge parking.

So Blythe Bridge Cricket Club – 10 til 4 -There will be a vast number of stalls at the event along with main ring activities including a dog show, Falconry display, children’s sports, Tai Chi demonstration plus much more, there will be a Circus entertainer teaching circus tricks, many of these are free of charge. There is a fun fair, afternoon tea shop, Alpacas, Stormtroopers, bar and BBQ and much more. Something for everyone. So you can have a great, action packed day out and help raise much needed funds for St Margaret’s church and Blythe Cricket Club
