Name: Jane Lythgoe
What is your star sign? Gemini
Give us an interesting fact about yourself: I love to sing in harmony and I harmonise with any song I hear – it drives my family mad – ha ha! I just can’t help it! Also, I love all animals – pets and wildlife – any outdoor jobs take an age because I have to move all insects to safety before doing anything.
What’s your favourite film? The Commitments
Which famous person would you like to meet? There are two fantastic performers that have now unfortunately passed away and I did not discover them until after their death – one is Glen Campbell and the other is Teddy Pendergrass – if they were still here I would love to meet them. Also, I would like to tell Simon and Garfunkel how fabulous they are – just in case they are in any doubt. Now they CAN harmonise!
What is on your ‘bucket list’? I would like to commentate at a darts match – just to shout ‘one hundred and eiiiiiiiiiiiiighty’
What is your favourite song of all time and why? There are a lot of deep meaningful songs that I could name but instead I will choose ‘Bom Bom by Sam and the Womp’ as it reminds me of when The Hitmix did our first RSL for one month in August 2012 and when we realised we had something very special here. That song still fills me with excitement!
What do you love about Newcastle-under-Lyme? I love everything about Newcastle – especially the Hitmix and all of the lovely people I have met as a result of being part of this amazing radio station!
