31.08.23 – Handbags stolen in Hanley, Theft at EE Store in Newcastle

Two men have been arrested after a gilet and handbags, worth £700, were stolen from a store in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Market Square in Hanley on Monday night after a number of windows were smashed at the shop.

A dog unit was sent to the scene and quickly found two men in the area, as well as eight handbags, a gilet and a small amount of heroin and cannabis.

A 37-year-old man, of no-fixed-address, was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal.  A 29-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and possessing cannabis and heroin.

CCTV stills have been released of three men Who Police would like to speak to as part of their investigation into the theft of thousands of pounds worth of goods from a store in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

At around 3.40pm on 18 August, a number of display phones were taken from EE on Castle Walk. A considerable amount of damage was also caused to the store.
