Four arrested after man dies following stabbing,Three Stoke-on-Trent shops closed

Arrests have been made after a man found with stab wounds died in Stoke-on-Trent.
Police were called at 12.50 yesterday morning to Buccleuch Road in Normacot, by West Midlands Ambulance Service to reports of a man in cardiac arrest.
The man was found in an alleyway with serious injuries and sadly nothing could be done to save him.
Four men, aged 20, 23, 26 and 45, all from Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Cordons are in place in the Normacot area while enquiries are carried out
There will be an increased police presence in the area, and anyone who has any concerns is encouraged to speak to an officer.
Residents who live on Buccleuch Road, Chaplin Road, Windsor Avenue and Hamilton Road are urged to check CCTV and doorbell footage between 10pm on Sunday 21st and 1am on Monday 22nd July . An online portal has been created where people can leave information and any CCTV, smart doorbell or dashcam footage that they may have.

Three shops in Stoke-on-Trent have been forced to close after an operation by trading standards found illegal cigarettes and vapes being sold. Last week the City Council successfully secured three-month closure orders at the local magistrates’ court, for three shops on Waterloo Road – namely Waterloo Store, Vinos Mini Market and Grab and go
30 officers from the City and County Council’s trading standards teams, along with Staffordshire Police and the Home Office Immigration Enforcement Service entered all of these premises in a coordinated operation, assisted by a tobacco detection team from Wagtail UK.
Over several months test purchases took place at each shop that showed they were selling counterfeit cigarettes and hand-rolling tobacco. Officers were also able to buy vapes with tanks over the maximum size and incorrect labels.
