13.20.23 – Cannabis Grow found on Leek Road, Collision in Blythe Bridge

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after officers found a cannabis grow following a flat fire in Stoke-on-Trent.
Their colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service notified them of a house fire at 10.20pm on Tuesday at a flat on Leek Road.
The blaze was extinguished just after 11.15 and 20 cannabis plants were later discovered inside. Fire crews deemed that the fire was started deliberately.

Police are continuing to proactively target those involved in drug cultivation across Staffordshire as part of their Operation Levidrome commitment.

A man has been arrested following a collision in North Staffordshire on Tuesday evening.

It happened on Cheadle Road, Blythe Bridge, just before 6.15 and  involved a black Infiniti and a black Peugeot 207.   Police attended the scene with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Officers quickly found out the Peugeot was stolen and the driver had left the scene before they arrived.

A short time later, a 44-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He has since been released on conditional police bail while the investigation continues.
