12 – 15th April 150 year Celebrations at Knutton St. Marys Church

St. Mary’s Church in Knutton are celebrating 150 years of worship!!

The celebration takes place from this Friday starting at 2pm and  the Bishop of Stafford will be in attendance to open proceedings.  The Church will be open all day on Saturday with music throughout the day including Cheshire Brass, activities for children and displays about the life of the church throughout the decades.

Church will also be open Sunday afternoon and then the anniversary service will be on Monday evening at 7pm.

Church is a bit like the Hitmix – it is big family with people supporting each other and looking out for each other.  And St. Mary’s is certainly like that for the people of Knutton

You may not live in knutton now, I don’t,  but over the years …. Did you sing in the choir?, go to Sunday school? Have you been part of the Scouts? Did you get married in the church, were you baptised there? have you had family funerals there at the church?.

The church has a special place in many people’s lives, through happy times or sad times. So it would be lovely if you could go along and say hello as they gather over this weekend …. and maybe share your memories with other people there!
