10.05.25 – Bike Ride for Gracie May’s Dream a Little Dream

Cancer is a dreadful disease especially when it affects children – Sarah has been in touch to tell us about a charity bike ride in memory of her daughter Gracie.  After being diagnosed with liver cancer in July last year, Gracie lost her fight on 4th February.  The family are from are from Knutton, just down the road. Sarah and her family are trying to raise money in memory of Gracie to buy iPads/projectors for the children on the wards at Royal Stoke and anything else to support them and their families. Most importantly, Gracies family want to make sure that her name is known and remembered.

The bike ride is on 10th May and is from Newcastle to Wales – 60 miles – but to make it more difficult bikes have to be old vintage bikes.  It you are up for taking part you can get in touch via facebook or if you want to sponsor the riders in support of gracie there is a just giving page that you can give to if you go to ‘go fund me’ and search Gracie Mays dream a little dream you will find it – or there is a link on the Hitmix facebook page and website.
