10 11 12 April – Calendar Girls – The Mow Cop Players

it doesn’t seem 2 minutes since we were telling you about the Mow Cop Players Christmas play – I did see it and it was fantastic.  If you remember they were celebrating their 50 year anniversary last year!  The Mow Cop Players are now getting ready for their next performances from Thursday 10^th to Saturday 12^th April.  They are performing Calendar Girls at the Mitchell Arts Centre in Broad Street.  To book you can go to ticketsource.co.uk/mowcop players or you can get tickets from the Mitchell Arts Centre.  Why don’t you get it booked now so that you have something to look forward to – 10^th, 11^th and 12^th April – that’s the week before Easter.  And you will be helping to keep a local group going – Local theatre groups are so important for youngsters who want a career in acting – in fact when I went to Newcastle College to chat to some of the students in their Christmas play one young lady had also starred in the Mow Cop Players Play and so the experience is fantastic … it is also good for people of any age who just enjoy acting, it’s their hobby and they get a buzz from being part of a Pantomime!!
