10.09.23 – NEW DATE FOR CRY ANNUAL CRICKET DAY

NOW Sunday 10th SEPTEMBER  ….. Every year we at the Hitmix are honoured to take part in the CRY family fun cricket day and we really look forward to taking the roadshow along – this year it is the turn of Bignall End Cricket Club to host this amazing day.  The purpose of the day is to raise funds for CRY in memory of Dan Hughes, and also to raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, known as SADS).  Dan was just 28 years old and he lost his life on 18^th March 2015.  He was active, energetic, athletic, no bad habits – not someone you would expect to lose his life so young.  in the UK alone an average of 12 young people die EVERY WEEK with heart related issues! Dave, Sue and Kim and the family provide screening for young people between the ages of 14 and 35 – each test costs £60.  So it’s not cheap!! Funds need to be raised on a regular basis …. So moving to Sunday –it is always a fantastic day … The Hitmix Radio roadshow will be there plus lots of stalls and fun things to do .. plenty of cricket of course .. and there is always a fantastic auction and this year there are some amazing prizes …here are just a few …

…. you have of course got to be there to take part ….. and there will be a special guest this year .. Stoke City’s Mascot ‘Hippo Pottermus’ –. Also, Stoke City will be bringing an inflatable set of goals and a speed gun so you can see how hard you can kick a football.  Another new attraction for this year is Archery … plus there will be a climbing frame, face painting, Pear tree nursery & creation station, glitter painting, Bouncy castles, A fire engine and a police car (the last 2 are dependent on call outs as you would expect), and much more.

The Hitmix will be delivering 2 hours of soul and Motown from 5 til 7 – so everyone can have a good old boogie … so don’t forget your dancing shoes!!
