Summer Reading Challenge – Staffordshire Libraries

The Summer Reading Challenge which is an initiative of Staffordshire Libraries and The Reading Agency.  Libraries across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent are taking part – go to your local library and sign up – you will get a starter pack with a poster and stickers and you can take three books away – read those and take them back – you will get more stickers and take out another 3 books.  When you have read these and taken them back you will get a certificate a medal and a book mark.  There is also a mini – summer challenge for younger children.  The good thing about this one is that as well as it being great fun, it helps them when they go back to school.  Last year nearly 10,000 children joined with 75% improving their reading skills.  Which is a fantastic bonus.
